I hope my Sibiu bookcases pass the sniff test. 🙂

Weird! I can see the photo in thumb nail, in the notifications. But not it in all its glory in the comment. But from the postage stamp size image I see, I approve.

The london one would pass muster too then

I would show you mine, except the kids have piled toys and detritus in front of the books. Deep bookshelves. Read: Perfect dumping ground.

Multitasking bookshelves, even better, books living amongst everyday life, as a part of everyday life, not chained like a medieval library but jumping and jiving with breakfasts and cushions and pets and laughter and tears. Have you come across the children’s book The detective dog? You and your kids will love it

And an after thought to this… My weighty collection of philosophy books would genuinely make great build bricks.

I know of it. We don’t actually have it among our collection. And a beautifully expressed comment on the chaos of family life sitting side by side with the knowledge locked inside the pages of books. I’m actually waiting for my youngest to notice how they’d make great building bricks for a fort.

Oh! That’s my dream. A wall of books. 📚

The inner workings of Substack are as mysterious to me as those of my iPhone and just as inaccessible

A read rant with some blue words. Whether your pages are yellow or white, the ink black or brown, the covers puffin green or penguin orange you need to keep the spines straight or they’ll get cocked.

Looking forward to the album cover storage sequel.

Ha ha ha… You’ve just made me contemplate my equally quirky CD cataloging system.
